Bare Necessities

This weekend I forgot about my worries and my strife when I found the bare necessities at Sprout Home. This hidden gem in the Ukrainian Village brings the meaning of urban jungle to Chicago. One of my goals for Summer Sixteen is to surround myself with as much greenery as possible, especially after seeing all the plants die during my first Chicago winter. Being around nature is so calming and relaxing - plants are so still, yet live & grow everyday. Exploring through the beauty of Sprout made me feel like Mowgli the man-cub lost in the jungle. For me, the bare necessities are good friends, good food, and nature (except for snakes because that's not okay).

I picked up the white macrame to the far right and my room feels 10x cooler. And plant-ier.

If I'm Mowgli, Briana is definitely my feline friend Bagheera. They're both smart, loyal, and slick.

On second thought, I'm going to add donuts to my list of bare necessities. Drop a comment if you've checked out Sprout Home before; there are Chicago and NYC locations!
